CGRFA meets in Rome

The Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture reviewed progress in implementation of the Global Plan of Action at its Eighth Regular Session in April.

About this site

This new web site "Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture" (www.pgr.fao.org) replaces the previous site of the "International Conference and Programme for Plant Genetic Resources" (web.icppgr.fao.org).

The old site can still be accessed here.

The new site contains all the material prepared for the International Technical Conference on Plant Genetic Resources including the Global Plan of Action, the State of the World's PGRFA, and the country and regional reports prepared as part of the preparatory process, as well as a guide to the Global System for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Plant Genetic Resources.

All of these documents are also available on CD-ROM, a copy of which is available on request mailto:icppgr@fao.org. Please include email, telephone and fax numbers and a full mailing address.

To date, most of the documents are available in PDF format, for downloading, or viewing on screen. Progressively, the major documents will also be made available in html format.

This site will also contain information on Implementation of the Global Plan of Action, including reports of the recently held regional meetings to promote Implementation of the Global Plan of Action.
